Pre-Season News - General Information

Teams will be selected during the month of July. Players will be contacted by their coaches by the third week in July regarding equipment pickup. All players will be issued practice jerseys, shoulder pads, helmets, practice pants, and a 7-piece set of pants pads. Personalized game jerseys and game pants will be issued during the week prior to the first game in early September.
The first prac
tice of the 2007 Season will be on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 6:00 PM.
Note:
All players must attend their first three (3) practices without pads (this means helmets, cup and cleats) before they can practice in full equipment.
Practices for all teams are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on the football field at Phelps Lane Park, North Babylon. Practices start at 6:00 PM SHARP and end at 8:00 PM. Peanut (5 & 6 year old) teams will reduce their practices to 2 times per week once school starts. All other teams will continue to practice 3 nights weekly.
Please have your players on the field and ready to practice on time. We encourage all players to use the restroom prior to all practices.
It is important for all players to remain hydrated during practices and games. Please provide your player with a drink. Our concession stand will be open during all practices and throught the season on game days.
Games are usually on Sundays, with occasional Friday and Saturday night games.
FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN, NO PLAYER WILL BE RELEASED FROM THE FIELD AT ANY TIME WITHOUT A PARENT/GUARDIAN OR OTHER DESIGNATED ADULT. NO PLAYER WILL BE ALLOWED TO WALK TO THE PARKING LOT AT THE END OF PRACTICE - YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR PLAYER AT THE FIELD.
We practice in all weather situations with the exception of lightning. Practices will be canceled at the discretion of the football commissioner. Do not assume practice is canceled because of inclement weather. If you do not receive an email or phone call from your coach or team parent, or if you do not read it right here on our website, then practice is on.

We do our best to keep all parents informed in a timely fashion. Please make sure your coaches and team parents have accurate contact information.
